Speaker: Vachan Kudmule on UPI – The easiest way to get paid

Vachan has long been actively customizing WooCommerce plugin and wants to introduce how to use UPI payments on WordPress sites.

He’s studied architecture and started his second firm KDC Inc in 2006 which provides architecture and interior design solutions.

He ventured into eCommerce Consulting in 2009 and started KDC Pay which assists startups in building full-fledged eCommerce sites with Payment Gateway onboarding and integration.

About Session

The session can be broken into 3 parts.

  • How UPI works?
  • Who can use UPI?
  • What can we do with UPI on WordPress?

WP has plethora of eCommerce avenues: WC (WooCommerce) | EDD (Easy Digital Downloads) | GF (Gravity Forms) | GiveWP | etc.

Most of them have some Indian payment gateway extension/add-on/plugin.

BUT Payment Gateways charge a transaction fee + Need documentation, approvals, integrations and the odds.

Moreover, if do not have a registered Firm/Company, the process gets more complicated.

What if you are Tutor, Coach, Musician and anyone, who would like to collect payment in the most simple manner, without fees/deductions and moreover without the headache of dealing with ‘hazaar’ procedures.

IF simply direct payment is required. UPI is the best solution.

WP – at the core is a publication tool, thus widely adopted.
If collecting payment can be as simple as a STICKY POST, what else do you need 🙂
